Background: The term "upper gastrointestinal bleeding" refers to bleeding from the system that occurs above Treitz ligament. It is one of gastroenterological problems seen most often in clinical settings by gastroenterologists. Objective: To assess frequency gastric Varices amongst patients with upper bleeding. Methodology: Our study was descriptive-cross sectional study, carried out at Gastroenterology Department…….hospital Peshawar for duration six months August 2022 January 2023. A careful upper-gastrointestinal endoscopy out. Endoscopic findings varices were recorded on a designed proforma our research. All documented data analyzed using 23. Results: In current total 120 included. male 67 (55.83%) whereas female 53 (44.17%). mean age (SD) 36 (9.11) years. overall 24 (20%). Conclusion: concludes very high. Multiple centre studies large sample size should be conducted get better results.
